About The Position

The Cage Cashier is responsible for handling money, casino chips, and paperwork. This role involves completing transactions, receiving gaming vouchers, exchanging tokens, and balancing drawers at the end of the shift. The cashier will also prepare jackpot payout slips, understand computer applications related to the cage, and issue player cards along with associated benefits. Additionally, the position requires providing customers with marketing information and ensuring compliance with all company and gaming regulations.

Requirements

High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
Must be able to receive and maintain all required certification.
Must complete all the needed company training.

Previous cashier or banking experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Handling money, casino chips, and paperwork.
Completing transactions, receiving gaming vouchers from guests and authorized employees.
Exchanging tokens.
Balancing drawers at the end of the shift.
Receiving personal checks for gaming purposes from patrons in exchange for cash.
Preparing jackpot payout slips following regulations.
Understanding and utilizing computer applications related to the Cage, including markers, front money, safekeeping activities, Cage reporting, credit activities, and self-exclusion/exclusion searching.
Issuing, receiving, and reconciling imprest funds used by slot attendants.
Accurately counting and recording assigned funds and making exchanges of funds throughout the shift.
Keeping the cash drawer balanced and impressed.
Ensuring that all casino funds are secured when not in use.
Issuing player cards for new and existing accounts and issuing any benefits and marketing related perks such as free play from those player card memberships.
Providing customers with in-depth marketing/casino related information and answering questions about that information.
Complying with all company standard operating procedures, gaming regulations, and federal regulations, including Title 31 compliance.
Performing any other assigned duties and responsibilities.
