About The Position

Responsible for assisting Guests with transactions, balancing various bank drawers within the Cage Department and maintaining accuracy throughout all phases of a balancing process. This role requires a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail in handling financial transactions and maintaining departmental records. The Cage Cashier must also be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and provide courteous service to all guests and team members.

Requirements

  • Must possess a high school diploma, G.E.D. or equivalent.
  • Must have money-handling experience and the ability to operate a 10-key.
  • Must be able to pass a math test.
  • Must possess excellent communication and writing skills.
  • Must maintain a high level of confidentiality.
  • Must be able to maintain a passing score on Title 31 and SARC Program tests.
  • Must be able to obtain a valid gaming license.
  • Must be able to pass a mandatory drug test.
  • Must provide evidence of employment eligibility in the U.S.
  • Must be at least 21 years old.
  • Must be able to communicate proficiently in English.

Responsibilities

  • Balances assigned bank accurately.
  • Cashes gaming tokens and coins into money for Guests in a courteous, timely manner.
  • Cashes travelers’ checks for currency.
  • Redeems Guests’ scripts, coupons and receipts for currency.
  • Maintains a working knowledge of the facilities, as well as special events on property, in order to advise Guests as necessary.
  • Assists other Cashiers in the Cage when needed.
  • Facilitates the flow of information by attending regularly scheduled departmental meetings.
  • Remains accountable, to a high degree, for the accuracy and thoroughness of departmental records and reports.
  • Keeps up with a fast-paced atmosphere and works under pressure.
  • Provides courteous service to all Team Members and Guests.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
