About The Position

This is a part-time position for the grave shift. The Cage Cashier is responsible for various financial transactions, including redeeming and selling chips, processing Tito tickets, validating and settling slot machine jackpots, issuing table fills and credits, and making exchanges of funds for team members. The role also involves cashing guests out, providing correct change, answering guest questions courteously, and maintaining accurate cash drawers. Additionally, the Cage Cashier will count and verify team member tips, sort and stack chips, review operational data, complete paperwork, verify personal identification, and track government reporting. The position requires knowledge of guest alcohol limitations and company policies, maintaining a clean work area, adhering to ethical practices, and handling routine guest complaints. The role also involves troubleshooting problems and performing other assigned duties.

Requirements

  • Must possess excellent teamwork, interpersonal, guest service, written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must have a professional demeanor and presence with the ability to interact with guests and team members in the Company.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Louisiana Gaming License.

Nice To Haves

  • A high school diploma or GED equivalent is preferred.
  • Gaming industry experience is preferred.
  • 2 years of high-volume cash handling experience, preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Attend and participate in company and departmental meetings.
  • Build guest relations throughout every shift by talking with guests, making them feel welcome and comfortable, and inviting them back.
  • Redeem and sell chips.
  • Process Tito tickets by validating and redeeming value.
  • Validate and settle Slot machine jackpots and cancel credit payouts.
  • Issue table chip fills and table credits.
  • Efficiently make exchanges of funds for team members.
  • Promptly cash guests out, give correct change, and answer guest questions in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Appropriately use all related equipment and cash handling systems.
  • Keep cash drawer balanced and in compliance.
  • Count and verify team member tips/tokes.
  • Appropriately sort and stack chips.
  • Review operational data and complete and verify paperwork.
  • Verify and document personal identification information for appropriate transactions.
  • Maintain monetary and paperwork accuracy and efficiency within department/property standards and internal controls.
  • Troubleshoot problems and come up with workable solutions.
  • Track and complete all government reporting.
  • Have knowledge of guest alcohol limitations and company policy and procedure regarding limitations.
  • Keep work area in a clean and orderly manner.
  • Adhere to regulatory, departmental, and Company policies in an ethical manner and empower and require others to do the same.
  • Handle routine guest complaints and incidents and exhibit the appropriate discretion to identify situations requiring the attention of supervisory personnel - seek to resolve all situations in a manner that maintains positive guest relationships.
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule as required by business operations, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
