About The Position

The Cage Cashier is responsible for guest service and cash transactions in the cashier cage. This role involves opening and maintaining an assigned cashier window, redeeming tickets for cash, processing checks and credit card advances, and redeeming coupons. The position requires providing excellent guest service, maintaining a balanced cash drawer, making exchanges with the vault, and keeping accurate tracking of all funds. Additionally, the Cage Cashier will provide change, break down bills, identify counterfeit currency, create and manage Player’s Club accounts, and verify guest identification. The role also includes operating various cashier equipment, staying knowledgeable on AML and Title 31 requirements, maintaining confidentiality and professionalism, and adhering to appearance and safety standards. The Cage Cashier acts as a role model for the company's mission and values.

Requirements

  • One year of cash handling and guest service experience is preferred.
  • Previous casino experience, specifically cage cashiering is preferred.
  • Demonstrates the ability to interact with the public and coworkers in a friendly, enthusiastic, and outgoing manner.
  • Requires the ability to speak, read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence, and policy documents.
  • Must be able to effectively use a computer including Microsoft Office programs and other job specific software.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and act upon documentation as necessary.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Must maintain the appropriate Gaming License.

Responsibilities

  • Opens and maintains an assigned cashier window.
  • Redeems tickets for cash, processes checks and credit card advances.
  • Redeems coupons.
  • Provides excellent guest service to both external guests and internal team members.
  • Maintains a balanced cash drawer.
  • Makes exchanges with the vault when necessary.
  • Keeps and updates an accurate tracking of all funds received and distributed.
  • Provides change and breaks down bills.
  • Stays aware of indications for counterfeit currency and checks for possible false bills during all transactions.
  • Creates Player’s Club accounts, issues, and re-prints Player’s Club cards.
  • Reviews Player’s Club accounts, providing useful information to our valued guests.
  • Verifies guest’s identification according to policy.
  • Operates computer, credit card processing equipment, coin sorting/currency counting, and other cashier equipment.
  • Stays knowledgeable on current AML and Title 31 requirements and ensures all necessary information is obtained and tracked appropriately.
  • Maintains confidentiality and professionalism.
  • Protects private and proprietary information.
  • Must be able to work the required work schedule, which may include nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Works physically onsite to manage business and interacts personally with Team Members and guests.
  • Responsible for maintaining a consistent, regular attendance record.
  • Responsible for maintaining compliance with appearance standards.
  • Follow all safety standards and reports any safety hazards immediately to necessary people to correct issue.
