About The Position

This is a full-time internship position for a Cage Cashier. The role involves handling currency, coin, coupons, and gaming chips, ensuring compliance with all policies and regulations, and providing excellent guest service. Interns will be responsible for maintaining their bank, equipment, and surrounding area, keeping guest information confidential, and promoting teamwork. The position requires accurate record-keeping and adherence to federal currency transaction reporting requirements.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Must be able to obtain a gaming license.
  • Must be able to work a full-time schedule.
  • Must be able to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Must be able to stand for extended periods.
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 25 pounds.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
  • Must have basic math skills.
  • Must be able to maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Must be able to handle stressful situations and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be able to maintain confidentiality of guest information.
  • Must be able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening.

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

  • Comply with regulatory, departmental, and company policies and procedures.
  • Approach all encounters with guests and employees in a friendly, service-oriented manner.
  • Be attentive, helpful, and courteous to all guests, managers, and fellow employees.
  • Communicate in a pleasant, friendly, and professional manner.
  • Verify documents and exchange currency, coin, coupons, gaming chips, and related documents.
  • Maintain accountability for the accuracy and thoroughness of departmental records and reports.
  • Ensure all logs/forms are filled out completely and accurately.
  • Transport funds to and from the Cashier Cage for replenishment.
  • Maintain their bank, equipment, and surrounding area.
  • Keep all information concerning guests confidential.
  • Promote positive guest relations through prompt, courteous, and efficient service.
  • Promote teamwork and cooperation with supervisors and co-workers.
  • Exchange gaming chips and/or tickets for cash.
  • Process Chip Transfers to/from Fill Banks/Main Bank.
  • Process Front Money Deposits and Withdrawals for Guests at Cage.
  • Ensure compliance with federal currency transaction reporting requirements.
  • Complete Currency Transaction Reports, Notice of Suspicious Transaction, W-2G Tax forms, and Multiple Transaction Log/Non-Negotiable Instruments Log.
  • Maintain accurate records at all times.
  • Report to Cage Cashier Supervisor/above, responsible for safe and efficient operation of assigned Cage Cashier window and related areas.
  • Follow Cage & Count Operations Department Policies and Procedures.
  • Be responsible for all cash, coin, chips, coupons, and cash equivalents in the Cashier Cash Bank.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of Company & Department Policies and Procedures and Title 31 requirements.
  • Monitor and reconcile cage machinery using proper Policies and Procedures.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
