About The Position

This internship position focuses on the operational and customer service aspects of a Cage Cashier role. Interns will learn to comply with all regulatory, departmental, and company policies and procedures while providing friendly, efficient, and courteous service to guests and fellow employees. The role involves handling various financial transactions, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring the security and confidentiality of guest information. Interns will gain experience in currency exchange, deposit/withdrawal processing, and compliance with federal reporting requirements like Title 31.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Must be able to obtain a gaming license.
  • Must be able to pass a background check.
  • Must be able to complete and pass annual Title 31 requirements training.
  • Must be able to work a full-time schedule.
  • Must be able to work in an environment exposed to smoke, bright lights, and noise.
  • Must be able to operate various machines.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous customer service experience.
  • Previous cash handling experience.

Responsibilities

  • Comply with all regulatory, departmental, and company policies and procedures.
  • Approach all encounters with guests and employees in a friendly, service-oriented manner.
  • Be attentive, helpful, and courteous to all guests, managers, and fellow employees.
  • Communicate in a pleasant, friendly, and professional manner.
  • Verify documents and exchange currency, coin, coupons, gaming chips, and related documents associated with the Cashier Cage.
  • Ensure accuracy and thoroughness of departmental records and reports, and that all logs/forms are filled out completely and accurately.
  • Transport funds to and from the Cashier Cage for replenishment purposes.
  • Maintain their bank, equipment, and surrounding area.
  • Keep all information concerning guests confidential.
  • Promote positive guest relations through prompt, courteous, and efficient service.
  • Promote teamwork and cooperation with supervisors and co-workers.
  • Exchange gaming chips and/or tickets for cash.
  • Process Chip Transfers to/from Fill Banks/Main Bank.
  • Process Front Money Deposits and Withdrawals for Guests at Cage.
  • Ensure compliance with federal currency transaction reporting requirements.
  • Complete Currency Transaction Reports, Notice of Suspicious Transaction, W-2G Tax forms, and Multiple Transaction Log/Non-Negotiable Instruments Log.
  • Maintain accurate records at all times.
  • Report to Cage Cashier Supervisor/above, responsible for safe and efficient operation of assigned Cage Cashier window and related areas, including daily operation, administration, maintenance, and protection of the cashier bankroll.
  • Follow Cage & Count Operations Department Policies and Procedures.
  • Be responsible for all cash, coin, chips, coupons, and cash equivalents in the Cashier Cash Bank.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of Company & Department Policies and Procedures and Title 31 requirements.
  • Monitor and reconcile cage machinery using proper Policies and Procedures.
  • Verify documents and exchange currency, coin, gaming chips, coupons, or other cash equivalents and related documents associated with the machinery.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
