About The Position

This role is responsible for assisting the building Principal and Faculty in the daily operation of the lunchroom. The Cafeteria Monitor will circulate and maintain order, designate student seating, and supervise students during lunchtime. They will also escort student groups to and from the cafeteria, assist students with routine tasks, clean tables, and enforce rules of conduct. This position is crucial for ensuring a safe and orderly lunch environment for students.

Requirements

• A High School Diploma or equivalency diploma is required.
• Four years of related training and/or experience in the care and supervision of children.

Responsibilities

• Circulate and maintain order in the lunchroom.
• Designate student seating assignments as needed and supervise students during lunchtime.
• Escort student groups to and from the cafeteria as necessary.
• Assist students as necessary with routine tasks such as opening thermos bottles and milk cartons, cleaning off and returning trays, dispensing items such as napkins, straws, etc.
• Clean and wipe tables as necessary between lunch periods.
• Enforce rules of conduct as specified by the building Principal.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the building Principal.
