The role involves preparing food according to time schedules, monitoring food quality, and cleaning/maintaining a safe and sanitary kitchen and equipment. Responsibilities also include serving correct food portions, reporting and documenting food usage, performing record keeping, receiving and storing deliveries, fostering a harmonious team environment, reporting unsafe work conditions, interacting positively with students and staff, and potentially driving a company vehicle. The job requires cross-training in various aspects of kitchen operations, customer service, and safety.
