About The Position

Enchantment is seeking an outgoing, energetic, passionate, and authentic Cafeteria Attendant to join their team. The role involves creating and delivering personalized extraordinary experiences for guests and team members in a fast-paced, collaborative, inclusive, and engaging culture with a beautiful view. The attendant will be responsible for food handling, salad bar preparation, presentation, monitoring, and replenishment of food items, as well as maintaining the cleanliness of the cafeteria/employee dining room. Adherence to sanitation practices is crucial. The role also encompasses the day-to-day operation of the cafeteria/employee dining room, and potentially banquet and dishwashing needs. Strong interpersonal skills, self-motivation, and enthusiasm for working in a people-centric environment are essential.

Requirements

  • High school diploma/equivalent or equivalent related work experience or training.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
  • Ability to deal with and resolve problems.
  • Knowledge of HACCP procedures and proper food sanitation methods.
  • Ability to work with a variety of chemicals.
  • Must maintain current food handler’s certification.
  • Lifting & Carrying up to 50 pounds.
  • Manual Dexterity.
  • Ability to work varying schedules.

Responsibilities

  • Presentation, organization, and cleanliness of assigned working station.
  • Organization and preparation of menu items to open on time.
  • Ensuring the freshness and quality of all food products.
  • Proficiency for assigned station, cafeteria menu, and banquet environment, with availability to work any station as business levels require.
  • Proper rotation of all food items in workstation mise en place and kitchen.
  • Expediting cafeteria opening hours period as needed to ensure smooth and seamless operation for the assigned station.
  • Maintaining quality throughout the entire opening of the cafeteria.
  • Checking the final product from the station before it is delivered to employees to ensure proper presentation.
  • Maintaining a workstation that is neat, safe, and clean by utilizing proper handling and storage procedures of station mise en place.
  • Monitoring sanitation practices to ensure that standards and regulations are followed.
  • Assisting in banquet preparation and dishwashing when requested by Supervisor/Manager.
  • Knowing the cafeteria menu and its ingredients perfectly.
  • Reporting any unsafe working/food safety conditions to Culinary Management and the Engineering team.
  • Inspecting refrigerators and freezers daily to ensure compliance with Food Safety and health department standards.
  • Ensuring the cleanliness and tidiness of the employee terrace and the employee dining room.
  • Attending mandatory culinary meetings.
  • Communicating potential problems or concerns to the lead cook or supervisor in a timely fashion.
  • Communicating with co-workers and lead cooks on each shift about any problems or concerns.
