About The Position

The Cafeteria Attendant/Cook assist in preparation and service food items for Employee Dining Room in accordance with production requirements and quality standards while maintaining a safe, sanitary work environment.

Requirements

  • Prior Stewarding or Culinary experience, preferably in a luxury hotel or resort.
  • Excellent personal presentation and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong time management skills: ability to multi-task, set priorities, and adjust to changing conditions. Willing to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work closely with other departments and communicate clearly and effectively with colleagues and guests.
  • Ability to lift, carry, and move up to 70 lbs.
  • US work authorization is required.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and serve food of consistent quality following recipe cards and production and portion standards per established menu from supervisor.
  • Prepare set-up and salad bar items; set-up hotline with food retrieved from kitchen.
  • Maintain the cleanliness of cafeteria kitchen and seating areas; restock condiments and paper goods as necessary.
  • Date all food containers and rotate as per policies, making sure that all perishables are kept at proper temperatures; check pars for shift use, determine necessary preparation, freezer pull and line set up; note any out-of-stock items or possible shortages; return all food items not used to designated storage areas, being sure to cover/date all perishables; assist in setting up plans and actions to correct any food cost problems; control food waste, loss and usage per policies.
