About The Position

A cafeteria assistant performs daily individual primary responsibilities in accordance with daily business needs. Including but not limited to general prep, warewashing, serving, and stocking. Utilizes time wisely to be available to assist others in accomplishing a common goal of providing and maintaining a standard of EXCELLENCE in both our finished product and customer experience.

Requirements

Able to perform simple mathematical calculations and follow verbal and/or written instructions for equipment, recipe production, formulations, and warewashing while always maintaining food safety protocols.
Understanding of food safety regarding, temperatures, storage, and sanitation/chemical.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or equivalent or GED preferred
Minimum 1 years' experience in industrial food service for large groups to include cooking methods, portion control, and scullery preferred
Use of commercial cooking equipment is preferred with three to six months on-the-job training. preferred
Valid Drivers License and insurable through the Company insurance policy preferred

Responsibilities

Complies with all portion sizes, quality standards, department policies and procedures.
Maintains proper food handling, safety, and sanitation standards while preparing for, during, and after services.
Completes daily shift work, as assigned, in a timely manner, and in accordance with a standard of excellence.
Always follow the FIFO method of inventory rotation to assure health sanitation storage guidelines are met.
Regular and predictable attendance is an essential job function as defined by policy.
Must comply and implement with all corporate compliance programs and policies involving but not limited to information security, standards, and guidelines relative to access control with complete confidentiality.
Assist with delivery of meals on campus.
