About The Position

Parisi Coffee strives to serve the best coffee and create the best experiences for our guests. The Café Manager role is essential to the success of these goals. The Café Manager owns the implementation and execution of all Parisi Coffee’s operational and brand standards within the café. This person is responsible for cultivating and leading a team of passionate coffee enthusiasts to provide a dynamic café environment and culture that is centered around hospitality, driven by coffee, and achieved through disciplined operational execution.

Requirements

  • Passion for specialty coffee and customer service is required.
  • Minimum of one year of management or leadership experience in specialty coffee or closely related retail and food service operations.
  • Food safety or Quality Assurance training
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred

Responsibilities

  • Channels all work through the lens of the customer experience. Is aware of the strengths and opportunities in the café and creates plans to continuously elevate the experience by coaching and holding the team accountable to standards.
  • Follows a structured plan to delegate and follow up on completion of all operational work within the café, including cleanliness and facilities maintenance, inventory management, cash management, scheduling and payroll, staffing, and training.
  • Fosters a positive rapport with the team in order to motivate each person to align with the cafe and brand vision and to achieve established goals. Provides feedback and coaching consistently and regularly to all team members in the form of conversation, counseling, and formal documentation.
  • Establishes, checks in, and follows up on the completion of all training plans for the café. Ensures each barista receives the needed training to be successful. Communicates with trainer and leadership in the café to ensure each individual and the team as a whole is challenged and growing.
