About The Position

Responsible for taking and delivering food and beverage orders to the Guests in a friendly and courteous manner. This role involves maintaining an effective working relationship and excellent guest service with all Team Members and Guests, and ensuring dining details are handled properly and quickly by maintaining contact with kitchen staff, management, hosts staff, and Guests. The position requires performing duties using sound and mature judgment, and abiding by all state, federal, and local liquor regulations pertaining to serving alcoholic beverages, including requesting identification from Guests when legal age appears to be under 30. The Cafe Food Server will also converse with Guests to ensure satisfaction with food and service, addressing complaints or concerns, and performing multiple tasks during high volume situations. Additional duties include greeting and seating Guests, cleaning and resetting the dining area, cleaning and filling empty condiment containers, assisting and supporting catering and special event functions, performing all side work duties as assigned, and adhering to departmental appearance standards.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Must possess a high school diploma, G.E.D. or equivalent.
  • One year experience as a Food Server with some experience in banquet service preferred.
  • Must complete Food Handler or ServSafe and Responsible Alcohol Service certification or have proof of current certification.
  • Must have ability to learn and operate point-of-sale system.
  • Must possess a cooperative and friendly nature, with excellent guest service skills.
  • Must be able to communicate proficiently in English.
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced atmosphere.
  • Must be able to pass a mandatory drug test.
  • Must be able to obtain a valid gaming license.
  • Must provide evidence of employment eligibility in the U.S.

Nice To Haves

  • Some experience in banquet service preferred.
