About The Position

Responsible for taking and delivering food and beverage orders to the Guests in a friendly and courteous manner. This role involves maintaining effective working relationships, ensuring excellent guest service, and coordinating with various teams to handle dining details efficiently. The server will also be responsible for adhering to liquor regulations, addressing guest concerns, and performing various support duties.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years old.
Must possess a high school diploma, G.E.D. or equivalent.
One year experience as a Food Server with some experience in banquet service preferred.
Must complete Food Handler or ServSafe and Responsible Alcohol Service certification or have proof of current certification.
Must have ability to learn and operate point-of-sale system.
Must possess a cooperative and friendly nature, with excellent guest service skills.
Must be able to communicate proficiently in English.
Must be able to work in a fast-paced atmosphere.
Must be able to pass a mandatory drug test.
Must be able to obtain a valid gaming license.
Must provide evidence of employment eligibility in the U.S.

Nice To Haves

Some experience in banquet service preferred.

Responsibilities

Takes orders for food and beverages, sets tables and trays, and delivers food and beverages to the Guests.
Maintains an effective working relationship and excellent guest service with all Team Members and Guests.
Maintains contact with kitchen staff, management, hosts staff, and Guests to ensure that dining details are handled properly and quickly.
Performs duties using sound and mature judgment.
Abides by all state, federal, and local liquor regulations pertaining to serving alcoholic beverages.
Requests identification from Guests when legal age appears to be under 30.
Converses with Guests to ensure satisfaction with food and service; addresses complaints or concerns.
Performs multiple tasks during high volume situations.
Greets and seats Guests, cleans and resets the dining area on an as needed basis.
Cleans and fills empty condiment containers.
Assists and supports catering and special event functions.
Performs all side work duties as assigned.
Adheres to Black Oak Casino Resort and departmental appearance standards.
Performs other duties as assigned.
