About The Position
ECI Management Group is looking to hire a Barista in Atlanta / Druid Hills area at the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) Roybal Campus. This is a full-time position with 36 to 37 hours weekly, operating from 6:30 am to 2:30 pm, Monday through Friday. Baristas are expected to educate customers on the drinks menu, make recommendations based on preferences, up-sell special items, and take orders. Success in this role requires customer service skills and knowledge of brewing equipment operation. Additionally, you will assist in preparing goods such as fruit cups, pastries, cookies, and other items for sale. Ultimately, you'll ensure an excellent drinking experience for our guests. This position's compensation includes salary and tips.
Requirements
- Customer service skills
- Knowledge of how brewing equipment operates
- Must be able to pass background check with history of last 5 years
Responsibilities
- Greet customers as they enter
- Give customers drink menus and answer their questions regarding ingredients
- Take orders while paying attention to details (e.g. preferences of coffee blend, dairy vs non-dairy, sugar ratios)
- Prepare beverages following recipes
- Serve beverages
- Serve prepared food like cookies, pastries, muffins, sandwiches
- Receive and process payments (cash and credit cards)
- Keep the bar area clean
- Check if brewing equipment operates properly
- Report any maintenance needs
- Comply with health and safety regulations
- Communicate customer feedback and recommend new menu items to managers
- Assist in Prep of goods should such as Fruit cups, pastries, bake Cookies, and other such items for Sale.
