About The Position

The Cafe Attendant provides quick, efficient, and pleasant food and beverage service to residents and guests, helping ensure their needs are met. The role includes taking and communicating food orders, delivering orders in a timely manner, responding promptly to requests, bussing and resetting tables, and completing assigned side work. The attendant is expected to maintain a positive and professional demeanor toward residents, visitors, and coworkers.

Requirements

• No experience is necessary; the employer will provide training.
• Complete food safety training and obtain and/or maintain any required local, state, or county food-handling or sanitation licenses and certificates.
• Communicate clearly and effectively in English.
• Have basic computer skills for using the POS and payroll systems.
• Be able to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant.
• Be able to solve practical problems and deal with variables in situations with limited standardization.
• Maintain a positive and friendly demeanor toward residents and coworkers.

Nice To Haves

• Previous food service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Accept food orders, communicate them to the kitchen, and deliver food and beverages to residents and/or guests in a timely manner.
