About The Position
The Cafe Attendant position is a per-diem role responsible for delivering friendly and efficient service in various capacities, including server, buffet attendant, or dishwashing. This role also involves serving residents in Health Services, ensuring dietary requirements and therapeutic needs are met. Key responsibilities include maintaining cleanliness, sanitation, and compliance with food safety guidelines (HACCP, NYS DOH), and cultivating a positive dining experience through attentive and courteous service. The attendant may also operate a cash register as needed.
Requirements
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively
- Friendly, courteous, and helpful attitude
- Clean and neat appearance
- Stand and walk most of the shift
- Lift up to 40 lbs
Responsibilities
- Deliver friendly and efficient service in a variety of roles, including server, buffet attendant, or dishwashing
- Serve residents in Health Services, ensuring adherence to dietary requirements and therapeutic needs
