About The Position

Trolley Eats is seeking a Café Attendant for their Virginia Beach Aquarium location. This role involves various tasks depending on the assigned station, including customer service, order taking, cash handling, food preparation, and grill operations. The café is open daily from 9 am to 4 pm, and weekend shifts are mandatory. Trolley Eats is the corporate dining division of Trolley Hospitality Companies, focusing on tailored food service solutions with high-quality ingredients and a commitment to its people.

Requirements

• Experience in a food service setting a plus
• A friendly and positive attitude and willingness to learn
• Reliable transportation
• Must be willing to work on the weekends and some holidays

Responsibilities

• Greeting customers with a warm and welcoming attitude.
• Operating the cash register and POS system to process transactions efficiently and accurately.
• Preparing and packaging salads and sandwiches according to set recipes.
• Pulling orders together, ensuring the food is up to standard and correct condiments and paper goods are included.
• Handling customer inquiries and resolve any issues promptly and professionally.
• Collaborating with other team members to ensure smooth operations, including stepping in to other roles, as needed.
• Grill, cook, and fry foods such as french fries, hamburgers, and assorted grill items.
• Plan orders so that items served together are finished at the same time.
• Responsible for station setup.
• Perform food preparation tasks, such as making sandwiches, making soups or salads, and desserts.
• Restock kitchen supplies, rotate food, and stamp the time and date on food in coolers.
• Clean food preparation equipment, work areas, and counters or tables.
• Perform general cleaning activities in the kitchen.
• Work in accordance with food safety and safety guidelines.
