About The Position
The Kimbell Art Museum is seeking friendly, service-oriented individuals to join the team at the Kimbell Café. This part-time, non-exempt role offers up to 29 hours per week. Daily schedule may include Tuesdays through Sundays from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., with some flexibility allowed and no Mondays.
Requirements
- Positive, outgoing attitude with a genuine enjoyment of interacting with the public.
- Minimum age of 16.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screening.
- Ability to stand and walk for the duration of each shift.
- Ability to reach, bend, stoop, lift, shake, stir, pour, and carry supplies.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a semi-regular basis.
Nice To Haves
- Basic food preparation experience preferred but not required.
Responsibilities
- Deliver friendly, attentive customer service to Café visitors.
- Build foundational skills in food preparation, hospitality, and problem-solving.
- Maintain a clean, organized workspace and follow safe food-handling practices.
- Assist with clearing guest tables and dishwashing duties, as needed.
- Support weekend catering events, as needed.
