About The Position

The Cafe and Retail Store Manager supervises the food service operation and ensures standards of excellence are met. The role supervises associates and supports financial responsibilities, manages cafe operations, and plans, markets, and executes cafe events and promotions. The manager also ensures sanitation and cleaning standards are followed, operates within the budget, and identifies ways to improve the business.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree.
At least 1–3 years of relevant experience.
Experience in restaurants, hotels, corporate dining, education, military, health care, and/or related food service operations.
Operational knowledge of cash handling procedures and food service equipment.
Proficient computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook, as well as the internet.

Nice To Haves

ServSafe or Department of Health Certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

Hire, supervise, train, and coach associates.
Plan, market, and execute special events and promotions in the cafe.
Ensure compliance with proper sanitation and cleaning standards.
Operate within the budget and identify new ways to improve the business.
Manage cafe operations.
Perform other duties as assigned.
