About The Position

Original X Productions (OGX), operators of location-based entertainment experiences including The FRIENDS™ Experience and Hershey Super Sweet Adventure, is seeking Café Team Members to work in its retail coffee shop. The ideal candidate is passionate about service, thrives in a fast-paced environment, has coffee shop experience, and brings a friendly, engaging personality. Team members are expected to deliver excellent hospitality while helping create enjoyable experiences for guests. This is a part-time position paying $19.00 per hour. The schedule is variable and includes evenings, weekends, and holidays, with a minimum of three shifts required, including one weekend day.

Requirements

Must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
Must be able to remain standing in a stationary position more than 75% of the time.
Must be able to move about inside the retail coffee shop space.
Must be able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Frequently move food service inventory and equipment weighing up to 25 pounds.
Must be able to work a variable schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Must work a minimum of three shifts, including one weekend day.
Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
Some previous barista experience is required.
Organized and detail-oriented.
Able to multitask and prioritize customers first.
Reliable, energetic team player with a positive attitude.

Nice To Haves

Previous customer service and/or cash handling experience preferred.
Current NYC Food Handlers Certificate strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide elite customer service and hospitality.
Prepare quality coffee beverages.
Maintain knowledge of high-quality baked goods.
Handle cash and other payments quickly and accurately.
Maintain coffee shop cleanliness, including sweeping floors and wiping counters.
Empty and remove trash as needed.
Answer questions about the experience.
