About The Position

Chef Daniel Boulud’s French Brasserie, Café Boulud serves a seasonally-changing menu rooted in the French tradition, highlighting both brasserie classics and contemporary dishes inspired by Chef Daniel’s family meals in Lyon. The Server is an essential member of the Café Boulud team dedicated to providing exceptional quality and service to our guests. The position provides an enjoyable, expertly served dining experience conforming to Café Boulud standards of excellence for quality, professionalism and friendliness. They anticipate and services guests’ needs before being asked and are knowledgeable about all available menu options, beverage lists and daily specials.

Requirements

• High level of wine and food knowledge, especially in French cuisine
• Excellent personal presentation and interpersonal skills
• Ability to perform this position to Café Boulud standards and learn the sequence of service
• Ability to lift up to 40lbs
• Open availability with the ability to work all shifts, including weekends and holidays
• Outgoing personality and a can-do approach to any request
• Valid Smart Serve certification
• Legal work authorization in Canada

Nice To Haves

• 1-2 years previous server experience in a fast-paced food and beverage operation
• Exceptional communication skills and command of English language
• Additional language a definite asset for career growth

Responsibilities

• Perform additional side work
• Greet and seat guests in the absence of the host
• Take reservations
• Use the POS System
