About The Position

The Café Barista will oversee the daily operations of Café 1967, located in the lobby of the Sandman Signature Las Colinas Hotel & Suites. Open each morning to serve hotel guests, the café requires team members who are personable, professional, and committed to delivering exceptional customer service. The successful candidate will project a positive image of the café, respond effectively to guest needs and special requests, and act as a brand ambassador by consistently providing a high-quality, memorable experience for all guests.

Requirements

Barista experience an asset
Strong knowledge of coffee brewing methods and café operations
Exceptional interpersonal and customer service skills
Demonstrated ability to work independently and take initiative
Organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage time and priorities effectively
Availability to work early morning shifts, plus weekends, and holidays as needed
Manual dexterity required
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
Regular physical activity including walking, standing, sitting and lifting
Must be legally entitled to work in United States of America

Responsibilities

Oversee all aspects of daily café operations, including opening and closing procedures, food and beverage preparation, and maintaining a clean, welcoming environment.
Craft a range of high-quality specialty coffee drinks and light food offerings with consistency and efficiency.
Maintain accurate inventory levels, ensure proper stock rotation, and waste reduction.
Provide courteous, professional service to all guests, creating positive and efficient customer experience aligned with the hotel’s brand.
Operate the point-of-sale system, manage cash and credit transactions, and complete end-of-day reconciliation.
Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations, maintaining sanitation standards and food handling procedures.
Communicate regularly with hotel leadership to ensure alignment with guest service expectations and operational goals.
