About The Position

The CAE Body Structure Engineer will gather information from various sources, build and run analytical models, and interpret results for customers. This role involves attending development team meetings and interacting with compartment integration teams. A key responsibility is to lead and execute the development of new engineering analysis capabilities. The engineer will participate with Product Development teams on new, major, and minor designs, providing analysis to assess the performance of new designs. They will create and execute Finite Element Analysis (FEA) plans for assigned projects and lead CAE suppliers and internal resources to meet program milestones. The role includes performing structural analysis on complete Trimmed Vehicle Structures (BIW, Chassis, Interior, Glass, Bumpers, Modules, Closures), coordinating virtual assessments, and comparing results to performance requirements. The engineer will recommend viable design solutions for mass and cost efficiency, plan and implement test/development programs to enhance CAE capability, and use CAE to explain physical testing results and engineer solutions with validation and release engineers. Staying updated on new technology, competitive products, and the latest CAE tools/trends is also expected. This position has a Hybrid Work Policy requiring 3 days in-office and 2 days remote, with the ability to report to a local office.
