About The Position

Bell Ambulance is hiring a Cadet to prepare for EMT-B certification through classroom and clinical training. The primary objective is to earn EMT-B certification. Cadets learn to respond to emergency and non-emergency requests, provide Basic Life Support as needed, transport sick or injured people to appropriate medical facilities, and follow applicable state Department of Health standards. Bell provides all equipment. Successful course completion, passing the National Registry/state EMT exam, and obtaining an EMT license are mandatory. Cadets who do not pass the exam and obtain a license are not automatically eligible for another company role, which may result in termination. The program includes required orientation, scheduled classes, operational training, and an observational ride with current Bell Ambulance field employees. Attendance at all classes and orientations is mandatory, as is regular attendance consistent with scheduled hours. Cadets are hired as Bell employees and receive a paycheck during the program. After completing the class and passing the EMT licensing exam, employees continue with Bell in an EMT role. Full-time work may be available after obtaining the EMT license and completing field training. The role involves representing the company professionally and courteously, advocating for patients, cooperating with coworkers and other members of the healthcare system, and maintaining an ethical, professional appearance and behavior. Cadets learn state protocols and standards, general medical care, patient-care documentation, and safe workplace practices. They must keep required certifications current, attend required company training and updates, and complete the course within the allotted time. The program is based at the Bell Ambulance Training Center, 2832 S 5th Court, Milwaukee, Wisconsin 53207. The stated start date is January 18, 2027.
