About The Position

The Charleston, WV office of Modjeski and Masters, Inc. is seeking A CADD Technician with at least 4 years of bridge engineering drafting experience. This role involves drafting plans and detailed drawings for transportation projects such as bridges and highways, working from sketches or notes. The technician will also draw maps, diagrams, and profiles, using cross-sections and surveys to represent elevations, topographical contours, subsurface formations, and structures. A key part of the role is reviewing rough sketches, drawings, specifications, and other engineering data received from engineers to develop them into contract plans. Additionally, the technician will correlate and interpret data from topographical surveys and borings reports, and finish and duplicate drawings and documentation packages according to required mediums and specifications for reproduction. The position also includes calculating pay item quantities and maintaining technically current methodologies, acquiring and applying new knowledge to assignments and tasks.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 4 years of bridge engineering drafting experience
  • Knowledge of MicoStation drafting software
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers and other team members
  • Ability to effectively receive and convey ideas and information with co-workers and other team members
  • Authorized to work in the United States

Responsibilities
