About The Position

Aguirre & Fields is seeking a qualified CADD Technician to join our Oklahoma City team. If you have previous experience with MicroStation or ORD in the civil engineering industry (ODOT transportation), this position could be a good fit. This role involves performing drafting functions for assigned projects using computer-aided drafting & design programs such as AutoCAD (Civil 3D) and Microstation (OpenRoads). The technician will apply civil engineering techniques, terminology, practices, project schedules, plans, and processes.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or comparable GED
  • 2-5 years of experience with CADD software in the Civil Engineering Transportation industry preferred
  • Ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience with MicroStation or ORD in the civil engineering industry (ODOT transportation)
  • Completion of a Computer-Aided Drafting Certification program is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Perform drafting functions for assigned projects using computer-aided drafting & design programs such as AutoCAD (Civil 3D) and Microstation (OpenRoads).
  • Apply civil engineering techniques, terminology, practices, project schedules, plans, and processes.

  • Work with the assigned Project Engineer or Project Manager and provide drafting support as needed.
  • Stay current with the latest CADD software capabilities and utilize as required.
  • Attend training (all formats) as required to maintain competency in current CADD software.
  • Assist in preparing engineering sketches/exhibits for client proposals/presentations.
  • Adhere to CAD practices, policies, and standards.
  • Acquire an understanding of professional and ethical responsibilities.
  • Work with CADD staff regarding technical issues, training, and other CADD system issues.
  • Interact with other staff on assignments.
  • Assume other duties as directed by the Group Lead.
  • Comply with all Company policies, procedures, practices, and rules.
  • Serve as an example of proper conduct in accordance with the Company Guiding Principles.
