About The Position

The CAD Technician works as part of the Take-off/Drafting/Modeling team, using CAD software to create, modify, analyze, or optimize 2D and 3D designs. The role supports project bidding and planning, prepares layout and machine-control data for GPS equipment, and works with project managers and field personnel. The technician also works with site and highway plan sets, prepares progress reports, and completes as-built drawings. Other tasks may be assigned.

Requirements

• Knowledge of Civil CAD software.
• Ability to manage time and prioritize tasks.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational and prioritization skills.
• Ability to multitask.
• Ability to maintain a positive work atmosphere.
• Demonstrate respect for coworkers and customers.
• Technical school certification, a 2-year associate degree, or 2–3 years of position-related experience.
• Experience with at least one of the following: Autodesk Civil 3D, Trimble Business Center, Bentley MicroStation, AGTEK, or Carlson.

Nice To Haves

• Surveying or GPS experience.
• Field or office construction background.
