About The Position

JACQUET is an established supplier and processor of specialty stainless steel and nickel alloys. The CAD Programmer supports the company’s sales efforts by accurately programming and nesting jobs, controlling inventory, and scheduling cutting machines, including plasma, water jet, laser, and saw equipment. The role involves regular communication with sales, customers, machine operators, and management about schedules, changes, problems, and opportunities. The position also supports quality control, scrap reduction, inventory reporting, and other operational tasks as requested.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
At least 1 year of experience in 2D AutoCAD.
Familiarity with Lantek software.
Ability to learn.
Ability to stand, sit, bend, stoop, and reach.
Ability to lift 50 lbs.
Wear appropriate safety equipment.

Nice To Haves

Proficiency in 2D AutoCAD Lantek software.
Understanding of sheet metal layout and design fundamentals.
Above-average math skills.
Attention to detail and problem-solving ability.
Ability to stay organized and on schedule.

Responsibilities

Program, nest, and schedule work for plasma, water jet, laser, and saw cutting machines.
Create flat patterns for water jet and plasma cutting while accounting for allowable tolerances.
Control inventory accurately, including using the smallest available remnant material.
Maintain accurate records and assist with month-end inventory reports.
Provide check drawings to operators for quality control after parts are cut.
Communicate schedules, problems, changes, and opportunities to relevant colleagues and customers.
Minimize scrap through use of Lantek nesting software.
Read and understand basic blueprints and drawings.
Perform other reasonable tasks requested by the Operations or General Manager.
Work safely and professionally with others as a team member.
