About The Position

Under the supervision of the Engineering Manager, the CAD Operator performs design and drafting activities, including originating and updating engineered drawings for use in the manufacturing facility. The role also supports the CAD database and maintains related notes, design calculations, and other documentation in accordance with document retention policies set by the Engineering Manager.

Requirements

• Associate's degree in Mechanical Drafting/CAD Design.
• Proficiency with the SolidWorks software platform.
• Proven organizational and time management skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite products.
• High attention to detail.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Prepare dimensional drawings, installation drawings, piping diagrams, and general arrangement drawings.
• Revise and update existing drawings to reflect design changes.
• Review blueprints, plans, specifications, and other customer documentation as necessary.
• Serve as an information source on the planning and design of equipment and manufactured items.
• Maintain notes, design calculations, and other documentation according to the document retention policies set by the Engineering Manager.
• Perform other duties as required relating to the CAD database.
