The CAD Operator creates CAD files to be used directly with automated manufacturing equipment in the production of steel rule dies and associated tooling to aid in providing a high quality large format product, producing indoor and outdoor POP items. Requirements

• Safety sensitive position – ability to work in a constant state of alertness and a safe manner
• Ability to work overtime and weekends as required based upon the needs of the business

• Ability to work in a production-based environment with moving equipment and people
• Ability to interact and communicate effectively with a wide variety of roles

Responsibilities

• Create CAD files to be used directly with automated manufacturing equipment in the production of steel rule dies and associated tooling
• Create structural designs of folding cartons using CAD
• Prepare structural prototypes, dimensioned drawings, manufacturing and use instructions
• Review detailed order information and evaluate for machinability and production of tooling
• Research specification, materials and application requirements for projects as needed
• Clearly communicate information needed for manufacturing based on specific requirements of each job
• Coordinate with outside suppliers as needed
• Perform other duties as assigned by management/supervisors
