About The Position

The CAD Operator creates CAD files to be used directly with automated manufacturing equipment in the production of steel rule dies and associated tooling to aid in providing a high quality large format product, producing indoor and outdoor POP items.

Requirements

• Ability to work overtime and weekends as required based upon the needs of the business

• Ability to work in a production-based environment with moving equipment and people
• Ability to interact and communicate effectively with a wide variety of roles

Responsibilities

• Create CAD files to be used directly with automated manufacturing equipment in the production of steel rule dies and associated tooling
• Create structural designs of folding cartons using CAD
• Prepare structural prototypes, dimensioned drawings, manufacturing and use instructions
• Review detailed order information and evaluate for machinability and production of tooling
• Research specification, materials and application requirements for projects as needed
• Clearly communicate information needed for manufacturing based on specific requirements of each job
• Coordinate with outside suppliers as needed
• Perform other duties as assigned by management/supervisors
