About The Position
The CAD Operator/Designer ensures that the design product and engineering deliverables conform to engineering design and customer specifications, preparing BOM (Bills of Material), and consulting with vendors on project related activities.
Requirements
- Must have a minimum of five (5) years of shipyard production experience.
- Must have the knowledge of AutoCAD/Ship Constructor.
- Basic computer skills using Microsoft applications (i.e., MS Excel, MS Word) is required.
Nice To Haves
- Experience or training in using computer-aided design software is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Develops detailed drawings based on applicable specifications.
- Works order instructions under the supervision and direction of an Engineer.
- The Designer will also coordinate design criteria with engineering, manufacturing, tooling, material, and planning group such as ease of manufacture, availability of materials, and contractual specifications.
- Creating Ship Constructor models.
- Preforms supervised mark-ups.
