About The Position

ASRC Federal Netcentric Technologies, LLC is seeking a Computer-Aided Drafting (CAD)/Geographic Information Systems (GIS) Technician to support the Kirtland AFB Engineering Operations Services (KEOS) contract in Albuquerque, New Mexico. This role involves GIS data editing, cartographic design, map composition, and geographic analysis using ESRI ArcGIS software. The technician will edit and maintain GIS data in an SDS/FIE compliant SDE Geodatabase. Responsibilities also include computer-aided drafting and design, and modeling in Autodesk AutoCAD for civil engineering or architecture, as well as GPS surveying using Trimble equipment and post-processing software. The role may also involve performing routine and emergency drafting requirements upon government request.

Requirements

• Associate's Degree in Applied Science (Architectural/Engineering Drafting Technology, Planning, or related degree); relevant experience will be considered in lieu of degree.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in CAD and Geographic Information Systems (GIS) environments.
• Experience using and developing proficiency in CAD and/or GIS software.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office365 and Adobe software suites.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Must maintain a valid US driver's license.
• Be willing and able to work with customers and company employees in a courteous, professional, and effective manner.
• Be committed to providing for and maintaining a safe working environment.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a government clearance.
• U.S. Citizenship is required.
• Successful applicant must obtain and maintain the required security clearance or other authorization(s) within the necessary timeframe required by applicable contract(s).

Nice To Haves

• Completion of the Environmental Science Research Institute (ESRI) Certified Introduction and Intermediate training in ArcGIS.
• Experience editing and maintaining GIS data in a Spatial Data Standards for Facilities, Infrastructure and Environment (SDS/FIE) compliant Spatial Database Engine (SDE) Geodatabase.
• Computer aided drafting and design, especially drawing and modeling in an Autodesk AutoCAD software environment.
• Global Positioning System (GPS) surveying equipment use, especially Trimble survey-grade and mapping-grade equipment and post processing software.
• Experience in post-processing field collected data with correction to base station collected data.
