About The Position

Integral part of a very capable team, this role requires a CAD Engineer with 5+ years of experience designing interior trim and components. The position emphasizes creativity within a complex 3D virtual package environment and the ability to quickly and efficiently create complex CAD models in CATIA V6 while maintaining excellent standards for CAD part, tree, links, and publications. The role also involves utilizing CAD methodologies, study files, slab models, and knowledge-based engineering.

Requirements

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Certificate of Accomplishment from a recognized Design educational institution, or equivalent experience and expertise.
• 5 plus years of experience designing interior trim and components.
• Creativity within complex 3D virtual package environment.
• Ability to create complex CAD models in CATIA V6 quickly and efficiently.
• Excellent standard for CAD part, tree, links & publications.
• Solid knowledge of interior process (wrapping, injection molding, painting, compression molding, etc.).
• Solid knowledge of common structural part manufacturing processes (stamping, extrusion, casting).
• Good understanding of the range of computational tools available to design engineers.
• Strong knowledge of GD&T and its application to part, assembly, and customer requirements for gap and flush.
• Well-developed team working and interpersonal skills.
