Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • 2–5 years of experience in CAD drafting, CNC nesting, or manufacturing support
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD and CAD/CAM software
  • Experience creating machine-ready files for CNC cutting operations
  • Strong understanding of drawings, measurements, layouts, and manufacturing documentation
  • Excellent attention to detail, organization, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and manage multiple priorities

Nice To Haves

  • CAD-related education or technical training preferred

Responsibilities

  • Create and maintain 2D production drawings using AutoCAD and CAD/CAM software
  • Convert customer specifications, patterns, and templates into manufacturing-ready files
  • Develop optimized CNC nesting layouts that maximize material yield and minimize scrap
  • Prepare machine-ready cut files for CNC equipment
  • Verify dimensions, scaling, and layout accuracy before production release
  • Collaborate with Production, Scheduling, Materials, and CNC Operators to support manufacturing goals
  • Troubleshoot production file and nesting issues to improve efficiency and quality
  • Support prototype development, production changes, and continuous improvement initiatives
