About The Position

Corrosion Service Company Limited (CSCL) is seeking a CAD & Drafting Technologist to join their drafting team. This role involves generating AutoCAD® and Inventor® drawings for various departments within the company, including mechanical and electrical drawings such as schematics, single line diagrams, layouts, and details. The position requires maintaining drafting requests, delivering drawings on time, and potentially gathering information from external sources like the internet or suppliers. Drawings created will be used for both internal and external purposes, including end customers. Proficiency in client drawing servers for uploading and downloading CAD drawings is also necessary. The role is primarily focused on 2D AutoCAD® (approximately 90% of the work).

Requirements

College graduates with an Engineering Technology diploma preferred with at least two years’ experience from graduation.
Excellent working knowledge and experience in the use of AutoCAD® or similar software.
Extensive experience drafting in 2D.
Strong analytical, problem solving and computer skills.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Nice To Haves

Exposure to 3D modelling is an asset.
Previous experience with relevant mechanical, electrical or construction design experience will be considered a major advantage.
Exposure working with Project Managers would be beneficial.

Responsibilities

Generate AutoCAD® drawings and Inventor® drawings in support of Engineering, Manufacturing, and other company areas.
Create mechanical and electrical drawings, including schematics, single line diagrams, layouts, and details.
Maintain the drafting request system and deliver all requested drawings when required.
Handle drawing requests ranging from minor changes to existing drawings to the creation of complete systems from limited inputs.
Follow up with requestors through questions and discussions to confirm details for large drawings.
Search the internet or contact suppliers for specification sheets to obtain dimensions of components and other details.
Create drawings for both internal use and external use by end customers.
Utilize client drawing servers to download and upload CAD drawings as needed.
