About The Position

CTG's long-standing Fortune 500 client of over 15 years has a W2 contract assignment for a Drafting/CAD Technician II, to support the creation, revision, and maintenance of mechanical drawings and 3D models for custom process equipment. The role will use Autodesk Inventor, AutoCAD, and Autodesk Vault to develop and update engineering drawing packages. This position focuses on drafting and documentation rather than new product design.

Requirements

• 2+ years of professional mechanical drafting experience
• Proficiency with Autodesk Inventor and Autodesk Vault
• Experience with AutoCAD and 2D/3D CAD
• Knowledge of ASME/ANSI drafting standards
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to follow established drafting standards and procedures
• Strong Windows/computer skills
• Excellent communication and organizational skills

Responsibilities

• Create and revise 2D drawings and 3D models
• Correct redlined drawings and models
• Convert legacy AutoCAD and hand-drawn designs into 3D models and drawings
• Create 2D drawings from existing 3D models
• Develop detail, sheet metal, weldment, and assembly drawings
• Incorporate technical information and measurements from engineering and production teams
• Ensure drawings comply with established drafting standards
