About The Position

BAE Systems is seeking a CAD Drafter to support the design, construction, and commissioning of multi-million dollar modernization programs as well as day-to-day project support at the Holston Army Ammunition Plant (HAAP). The role involves creating and updating Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs) and Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID) using AutoCAD and Autodesk Vault. The CAD Drafter will support engineering teams by preparing accurate technical drawings, maintaining organized document control, and ensuring proper revision and version management. This position requires close collaboration with project stakeholders to incorporate design changes, uphold drafting standards, and ensure all documentation is current, accessible, and compliant with established workflows.

Requirements

Associate's Degree in Drafting, Mechanical Design Technology, Engineering Technology, or a related technical field or equivalent combination of education and experience
Ability to read redline markups and communicate effective drawing designs

Nice To Haves

Completed coursework in CAD fundamentals, technical drawing, and industrial processes
Exposure to 3D CAD
Experience or training in AutoCAD and Autodesk Vault
Experience developing As-built drawings and Installation Design Plans (IDPs)

Responsibilities
