About The Position

The CAD Drafter will transform existing drawings and field sketches into accurate, detailed fabrication drawings for custom industrial fabrication, wear-resistant materials, and industrial lining projects. The role supports industries including manufacturing, material handling, and mining. The drafter will use AutoCAD to create and revise technical drawings, verify details against fabrication requirements, coordinate with team members, maintain project documentation, and provide clear technical information to fabrication and production teams. This is a long-term opportunity based in Carnegie, Pennsylvania, paying $22.00–$25.00 per hour based on experience.

Requirements

• Previous CAD drafting experience.
• AutoCAD experience.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, field sketches, and measurements.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to organize multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Reliable, motivated, and interested in long-term employment.

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of Autodesk Inventor.

Responsibilities

• Convert existing drawings and field sketches into detailed fabrication drawings.
• Create accurate drawings identifying and detailing all parts needed for each project.
• Use AutoCAD to develop and revise technical drawings.
• Review drawings for accuracy, completeness, and fabrication requirements.
• Work with team members to clarify project details and ensure drawings meet specifications.
• Organize and maintain drawing files and project documentation.
• Support fabrication and production teams by providing clear, accurate technical details.
