About The Position

The CAD Drafter will join a growing low-voltage and structured cabling team and work closely with Project Managers, Engineers, and Field Teams to develop accurate telecommunications and structured cabling drawings for commercial projects. The role supports network infrastructure and structured cabling projects in a fast-paced project environment, coordinating with both office and field teams and supporting multiple projects while meeting deadlines. The position is based onsite in Bethel, Connecticut.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of AutoCAD drafting experience.
• Experience creating construction or telecommunications drawings.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to interpret blueprints, floor plans, and technical documentation.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with structured cabling, low-voltage, telecommunications, fiber, or network infrastructure projects.
• Knowledge of MDF/IDF layouts and telecommunications design standards.
• Experience with Revit or BIM software.
• Understanding of commercial construction environments.
• Experience preparing as-built documentation.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain AutoCAD drawings for structured cabling systems.
• Produce MDF, IDF, and telecommunications room layouts.
• Develop cable pathway, riser, and floor plan drawings.
• Update redlines and generate as-built documentation.
• Coordinate with project managers and field technicians to ensure drawing accuracy.
• Review construction documents and incorporate design changes.
• Maintain drawing standards and project documentation.
• Support multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
