CAD Drafter Technician

About The Position

Turner Specialty Services is hiring a CAD Drafter/Technician to create and maintain accurate, detailed CAD drawings and models supporting inspection activities in the petrochemical industry. The work contributes to the safety and efficiency of critical infrastructure projects. This is a local position in the Houston area with no per diem. Compensation is determined based on individual qualifications and experience.

Requirements

At least 2 years of experience in CAD drafting and modeling.
Proficiency in AutoCAD and other relevant CAD software.
Strong understanding of engineering drawings and industry standards.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Must not pose a direct threat to the health or safety of oneself or others in the workplace.

Nice To Haves

Experience with 3D modeling software, including AutoCAD, Bluebeam, or Revit.
Knowledge of inspection techniques and procedures.
Experience with data management and document control systems.
CAD drafting or modeling experience in the petrochemical or related industries is preferred.

Responsibilities

Create and modify 2D and 3D CAD drawings and models using industry-standard software such as AutoCAD, Bluebeam, and Revit.
Develop and maintain accurate as-built drawings and models based on field inspection data.
Prepare and generate inspection reports, including sketches, diagrams, and related documentation.
Assist in developing inspection plans and procedures.
Collaborate with engineers, inspectors, and other project stakeholders.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date project records.
Ensure compliance with relevant safety and quality standards.
Stay current with industry best practices and advancements in CAD technology.
Perform additional assignments as required.
