About The Position

The CAD Designer will work in CMTA’s Energy Solutions division, which delivers Guaranteed Energy Savings Performance Contracts (ESPCs) to upgrade and renovate facilities by redirecting utility spending toward facility improvements. The division’s services cover scope development, design, bidding, construction management, commissioning, measurement and verification, and ongoing energy management. The position uses CAD software to create and modify technical drawings and layouts in accordance with company CAD standards. Drawing sources may include engineers’ mark-ups, existing hard-copy drawings, sketches, and scanned images. Occasional site visits may be needed to gather information. The role is located in Louisville, Kentucky.

Requirements

• 1–3+ years of related work experience.
• Detail-oriented.
• Motivated to learn.

Nice To Haves

• Prior experience with CAD software is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Use CAD software to create and modify technical drawings and layouts according to company CAD standards.
• Communicate effectively with project managers, engineers, and other CAD staff to create and revise drawings.
• Manage workload, volunteer to help others, and request additional support when needed.
• Perform occasional site visits to obtain necessary information.
• Print, scan, and organize CAD drawings as needed.
