About The Position

The CAD Designer will work in CMTA’s Energy Solutions division, which delivers Guaranteed Energy Savings Performance Contracts (ESPCs) to upgrade and renovate facilities by redirecting utility spending toward facility improvements. The division’s services include scope development, design, bidding, construction management, commissioning, measurement and verification, and ongoing energy management. The role uses CAD software to create and modify technical drawings and layouts in accordance with company CAD standards. Drawing information may come from engineers’ mark-ups, existing hard-copy drawings, sketches, and scanned images. The position is located in Louisville, Kentucky, and may involve occasional site visits.

Requirements

• 1–3+ years of related work experience.
• Detail-oriented.
• Motivated to learn.

Nice To Haves

• Prior experience with CAD software is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with project managers, engineers, and other CAD staff to create and revise drawings.
• Manage workload, including volunteering to help others and requesting additional support when needed.
• Perform occasional site visits to obtain necessary information.
• Print, scan, and organize CAD drawings as needed.
