POSITION SUMMARY Jost Chemical is seeking a detail-driven CAD Designer to join our Engineering team in a cGMP-regulated manufacturing environment. In this role, you'll turn engineering concepts into precise technical drawings and 3D models that bring capital projects, facility upgrades, and infrastructure improvements to life—giving you a direct hand in shaping the plant floor our teams work in every day.
Requirements
- Associate degree in CAD Technology or related field.
- Three or more years of industry-related drafting/design experience.
- Experience creating and maintaining 3D models.
- Proficiency with AutoCAD and Revit.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent attention to detail and documentation practices.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications.
Responsibilities
- Create detailed technical drawings and 3D models for structural, process utility, piping, electrical, and facility-related systems.
- Develop construction drawings from engineering specifications, sketches, and field data.
- Review and interpret project specifications and standards.
- Perform field investigations and gather measurements for as-built documentation.
- Coordinate with engineers, contractors, and technical staff on design and drafting needs.
- Maintain CAD drawing files and document control systems.
- Implement drawing revisions and support facility upgrades.
- Support National CAD Standards (NCS) and help develop company-wide drafting standards.
