About The Position

Under the supervision of the CAD Manager, this role is responsible for a variety of design and drafting activities. This includes assisting with the preparation and updating of installation drawings for projects, as well as preparing assembly/manufacturing drawings as requested. The position involves collaborating with the HSE Germany headquarters office for drawing revisions and updates to ensure consistent project documentation. The CAD Designer will also become an information source on planning and design of equipment installations, maintaining detailed documentation for future reference. Other duties may include CAD database maintenance and PDM tasks.

Requirements

• Associate's degree or completion of a technical trade school in CAD, drafting or related field, plus at least 4-6 years of related work experience, or any equivalent combination of experience and training.
• Part modeling and detailing experience using Creo/ProEngineer 2.0-6.0 parametric software.
• Experience working with skeleton structures, assembly structures, and product design in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience in equipment layout for municipal and/or industrial construction projects.
• Experience in equipment/plant layout relating to wastewater treatment facilities.
• Experience with Windchill Product Data Management (PDM) software.
• Manufacturing design experience with sheet metal, fabrication, and welding CAD designs.
• Ability and willingness to travel to Germany up to twice per year.
• Must have passport, or ability to obtain passport upon date of hire.
• Authorization to work in the U.S. is a precondition of employment for this role.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with IFS software or similar experience with SAP software.
• 6-8 years of CAD experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepare dimensional drawings, installation drawings, and more complex plant engineering drawings.
• Revise and update existing drawings to reflect design changes, in collaboration with the HSE Germany headquarters office.
• Review and understand blueprints, plans, specifications, and other customer documentation.
• Assist and/or prepare installation drawings that meet customer requirements during the bid and submittal phase.
• Become an information source on planning and design of equipment installations through on-the-job training and experience.
• Maintain notes, design calculations, drawings, bill of materials, list of design parameters, and performance guarantees for future reference.
• Perform other duties relating to CAD database maintenance, PDM, etc.
• Perform other work-related duties as assigned.
