About The Position

Draper, Inc. has an excellent opportunity for a CAD Designer for our Gym Equipment product line. This role involves preparing design submittal drawings, production drawings, working with bills of material, developing equipment/material schedules, and creating/working with PDF documents. The company is a family-owned business established in 1902 with over 700 employees, known as a leader in its diverse markets which include projection screens, gym equipment, lifts, and shades.

Requirements

Strong working knowledge of 3D modeling software (preferably Autodesk Inventor).
Proficient with Microsoft Office.
Strong communication and time management skills.

Nice To Haves

Experience in building design or structural design is a plus.
Knowledge of file storage and life-cycle management software such as Autodesk Vault is a plus.
Degree in computer aided-drafting or related field is preferred.

Responsibilities

Prepare design submittal drawings with details and production drawings from customer supplied architectural drawings and sketches.
Create and work with bills of material (BOMs) and other construction documents.
Develop equipment/material schedules and material takeoffs from drawings and sketches.
Create and work with PDF documents using Blue Beam software.
