The CAD Designer – Tool Room is responsible for designing mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic devices, including jigs, fixtures, and tooling solutions that support manufacturing operations globally. This role is involved throughout the full design lifecycle — from concept development and initial sketches to detailed design, manufacturing support, testing, and implementation. The CAD Designer partners closely with Tool Room employees, R&D, Engineering, and Production leaders to develop innovative, functional, and manufacturable solutions that improve safety, quality, efficiency, and productivity. This position requires strong technical design skills, hands-on mechanical aptitude, creativity, and the ability to solve complex manufacturing challenges in a collaborative environment. Using CAD software and accepted drafting standards, the CAD Designer develops detailed 3D models, engineering drawings, and documentation for approval and release. The role also provides ongoing production support, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement for existing tooling and fixturing solutions.
