About The Position

Pneumatic & Hydraulic Co. is seeking an experienced CAD Designer II to join our team in Katy, Texas. This intermediate-level position is responsible for independently producing accurate 2D and 3D engineering drawings and supporting manufacturing-ready documentation for assigned projects. The ideal candidate has strong SolidWorks experience, understands drafting standards and revision control, and can work closely with engineers and manufacturing teams to turn technical requirements into accurate drawings and documentation. This is a full-time, onsite position. Candidates must be able to work at our Katy location Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Requirements

  • At least five years of professional CAD and design experience required
  • Proficiency in SolidWorks required
  • Experience producing 2D and 3D drawings, equipment layouts, fabrication drawings, and general arrangement drawings
  • Strong understanding of drafting standards, revision management, and document control
  • Experience coordinating with engineering and manufacturing teams
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to identify drawing errors or inconsistencies
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments and meet project deadlines
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and other Microsoft Office programs

Nice To Haves

  • Associate degree in Engineering Technology, Drafting, Design, or a related field preferred
  • CAD certification preferred

Responsibilities

  • Independently create and revise 2D and 3D engineering drawings
  • Convert original drawings, hand sketches, and schematics into CAD drawings
  • Design, modify, and update existing drawings as project requirements change
  • Create equipment layouts, fabrication drawings, and general arrangement drawings
  • Develop system designs based on customer specifications and communications
  • Apply company drafting standards, symbols, and revision-control procedures
  • Coordinate with engineers to clarify design intent and resolve drawing issues
  • Prepare drawing packages and related engineering documentation
  • Maintain accurate and organized CAD files and document structures
  • Identify drawing errors, conflicts, and missing information
  • Support manufacturing and engineering teams with documentation updates
  • Provide technical information or visuals for marketing projects as requested
  • Assist with customer service and quoting when needed
  • Manage multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines
