As a CAD Designer II – Gas Power Generation, you will play a critical role in supporting the design and development of utility-scale power generation projects by creating and maintaining detailed engineering drawings and construction documentation. A typical day involves collaborating with electrical, mechanical, controls, civil, and structural engineers to develop layouts, equipment arrangements, site plans, and design packages that support gas turbine facilities, combined cycle power plants, substations, switchyards, transmission infrastructure, and balance of plant systems. You'll assist with design coordination, drawing revisions, and constructability reviews while ensuring engineering documents are accurate, organized, and aligned with project specifications and standards. Working closely with engineering and project teams, you'll help transform complex engineering concepts into buildable designs that support successful project execution from planning through construction.
